I was lucky enough to be working with the Teresa Collins Far and Away collection this month for The Scrapping Nook. It was a perfect collection for all those travel pages. I hadn't scrapped these photos in 25 yrs. We went to Daytona Beach for March Break. Look how young we were LOL. The paper worked equally well for my layout about Ryan making us dinner and the beautiful vintage layout of Jess and Paul on their wedding day.

my take on Tim's March tag
whew, made it just in the nick of time..... I got to play today and make my version of Tim Holtz' March tag. I didn't have the bunny die or the grass die so I improvised and cut them with my Cameo. That was no easy feat considering I got the Cameo on Thursday and I have worked 36 hours since Thursday when I got it. I like how it turned out even with all the improvisations. (look at the difference lighting makes.... from daylight to night time)

Teresa Collins Far and Away
I can't believe how lovely this paper collection from Teresa Collins is. Anyone who knows me knows that I look for ways to make paper vintage. This sheet of paper in the collection was absolutely perfect for that. I used a Crafter's workshop template for the bottom flourish layer. A little molding paste and some Tim Holtz paint and away I went. I really love how this layout turned out. The layout has really featured that beautiful picture of my daughter Jessica and my son in law Paul perfectly.

I have been busy working with the Heidi Swapp Vintage Chic paper line from the Scrapping Nook. The layouts all have very different feels yet the paper line works so well with all the different styles. It's amazing paper to work with. I didn't really notice before, but most of my layouts feature my daughter. LOL The last layout features my wonderful dog Bailey that crossed the rainbow bridge in September last year..... I miss him!!!!

inspiration
sometimes inspiration takes you on a strange journey. I was admiring Tim Holtz' January 2013 tag. Somehow his gears and embossing took me here. I am the first to admit that a cuckoo clock is a long way from gears but that's where I went. I like how it ended up nonetheless!! I love the creative process!

3D Rudolph tag
I loved the tutorial over at Splitcoast stampers this week. It was all about how to make a 3D tag..... I had a few misgivings making a tag with Rudolph's head as the main feature, but I soon got over it. It was a whole lot of fun, but next time, I would use tissue paper or tissue tape to cover the head instead of torn up book pages, it was just too hard to mod podge such a small item...... all in all I really like how my 3D Rudolph tag turned out
